Firstly, here are our new fitness rigs:
Our new outdoor Fitness Rigs are specifically designed to weather tough outdoor conditions and allow for year-round functional fitness and body-weight exercising for adults.
The fitness rigs have been added mainly to incorporate exercises in our group fitness classes that are focused on strength training.
Here’s a complete list of exercises for which you can utilize the fitness rigs:
- Pull-ups
- Chin-ups
- Muscle-ups
- Pull up hold leg raises
- Hanging knee raises
- Hanging leg raises
- Hanging oblique twist
- Supine rows
- Power lifting/deadlifts
- Burpees-to-bar
- Toes-to-bar

- Hanging flutter kicks
- L sits
The 360-degree frame allows 12 people to exercise in an engaging and dynamic way on its eight-sided multipurpose frame. There are two frames so that means 24 people can workout at the same time – the perfect opportunity to hold a competition and or any sort of timed physical activity challenge.
These fitness rigs can help you work on and increase your flexibility, upper body strength, core strength, as well as balancing power. They are placed near the obstacles so you can go on conquer the obstacles, run back to the rigs and back and forth while participating in one of our group classes.
The rigs provide for a playful and intuitive use for beginners and the exercise curious as well.
Pergola area
The second feature at OCR Park is the Pergola area – which is essentially a shaded rest area.
We have set up some military-themed tables and chairs here. This area can be used to take a well-earned rest after you’ve raced around the obstacle course, rehydrate post run, clean and sanitize your hands – and then back to smashing the obstacles! This area allows for some breeze and light sun but offers protection from the harsh glare of direct sunlight and heat.
